The digital drum machine roland tr707 was released on 1985 ). It has been featured in the movie "Howard the duck" from 1986 directed by Willard Huyck and starring
Lea Thompson Jeffrey Jones and Tim Robbins. The plot in two words: Howard, a young duck from a remote planet, is catapulted to Cleveland, where he meets a punk star and tries to save the Earth from I cannot remember what.
During the MOVIE I spotted 3 electronic instruments:
1- During the movie Howard makes some music using the roland Tr707 as a kind of arranger. The tr707 is able to reproduce only digital drums. Also the heard drum sound is not from the japanese drum box. Check out also the spotted drum machine CR5000 also from roland in the movie "the revenge of the nerds"
2 - A bit later we can spot also another machine from Roland, a sequencer, the JSQ60 for old machine with DCB like Juno 60 , Jupiter 8 and maybe more weird sequencer-interface- it's not used by Howard to jam.
The last one is a bit more complex to spot, maybe a PD phase distortion synthesizer from casio, the CZ1000.
