Roland TR-09 boutique

 Rhythm Composer (2016)

Roland

Overview

OVERVIEW The digital portable remake of the iconic Roland TR-909 (Tadao Kikumoto) in a limited edition called "boutique" with  ACB – Analog Circuit Behavior technology at  24 bit / 96 kHz which emulates both analog and digital PCM samples (hi hat, ride e crash).
Of course years have passed and Roland also added some extra features like USB, more memory and total accent.

PERCUSSION Like the original beast, the Tr09 features basically 11 percussions with pots for tweaking:

Analog family:
- Bass Drum : tune sets the pitch  / decay sets the lenght / attack adds a click at the beginning
- Low tom :
pitch sets the tuning  / decay sets the relative lenght
- High tom :
pitch same as low tom but with different range  / decay sets the relative lenght
- Mid tom : pitch same as low tom but with different range / decay sets the relative lenght
- Handclap :
no controls
- Snare Drum : tune sets the pitch / tone emphasizes the VCF filter and the total decay / snappy sets the amount of white noise
- Rim Shot :
no controls

Digital family:
- Hi-Hat (open) : decay makes a long open sound / tune sets the pitch
- Hi-Hat (close):  channel-shared with opened hihat circuit they canno be played at same time
- Crash : tune sets the pitch of the sample
- Ride : tune sets the pitch of the sample
