What's inside?

■ The 8 factory samples for kick, snare, tom1, tom2 and tom3 (40 in total)
■ 56 sounds (each with all possible pitch recorded):
-2 basses
-18 kicks (including 80' and 909...)
-4 snares
-13 toms (bend, disco, classic...)
-3 synths
-12 other percussions

Note that BASS and SYNTH name are rough attempt to do so, remember it's a drum processor, but still interesting.

OVERVIEW the DRX1 is a 2U-high, 19" rack-mountable case kind of less famous SIMMONS electronic drum set. It is composed by a drum brain with 5 channels and respective trigger controls: Kick, snare and 3 toms; s each drum is based round a rigid plastic pad fitted with a circular, resilient rubber playing surface... a bit less sexy than simmons.

EDIT Each voice is composed by standard synth  VCOs, 1Lowpass VCF, 2Envelope generators a 5 VCAs
The parameters you can edit are Pitch, Bend, Oscillator/Noise balance, Overtone, Attack, Filter Cutoff Frequency, Decay, and overall Level. The special Overtone is a form of modulation that affects the basic pitch aimed to give more breath to the sound, less electronic. Each of these is variable in 20 quantisized steps, which is a bit of a shame. Also keep in mind you don't have knobs, but one parameter per time. That tedious programming explained that today the DRX1 is not so much used, but the sounds are pretty interesting.

MEMORY Sounds can be edited and stored to eight user-programmable kit
