■This is the black version (Japanese version I believe) of the famous sampler S20.
The REMIX88 can sample in STEREO at with a standard internal ram of  1 MB that can be upgraded to other 16 MB with standard 72 simm . It uses 16 bit samples up to 32 kHz but can resample to very gritty Mono 8kHz.
Sampling structure is based on a 24-BIT DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSOR DSP56002 from motorola

■ Memory mass is a  3.5 inch high density floppy disk HD up to 1,44 mb; today it can be replaced by easy gotek. No scsi (only on bigger version REMIX16 which is 100% compatible).

■FX  like many old school MPC there is  no onboard effects (not even external board), in fact the machine,  cannnot be expanded.

■ SEQUENCER The internal built-in sequencer is pretty simple with 4 tracks, but no advanced edit functions like quantize.

■OS Latest OS: 1.0. This os can import S900/S950 12 bits samples and also S1000 series, but one sample at the time, mapped patch cannot be directly imported.
It is also fully compatible with rack s01, the white version S20 and the remix16.
