Dynacord DRP-16
Digital Reverb (1985?)

Early digital rackmount reverb based on old TTL logic made in Germany. The standard DRP16 version features 8 preset models

Special version with label "M" adds 8 extra presets option.

RACKMOUNT single rack unit.
The main panel features a segments display, 4 knobs and 8 buttons.

Back panel terminal connectors:
- input signal
- wet signal out
- mixed signal + dry
- special connector enables a remote pedal function

Front panel terminal connectors:
- mixed out
- input signal (lesser priority)

 

TECH the internal DAC is based on a 60120DC (no info about it) while ADC is based on a 12 bits TMS MM7C905N - EPROM os with a PDD159 script .

To turn reverb effect on just set the signal IN gain and choose one of the 8 presets available

hall reverb models classified from shortest one to longest one.

EDIT INTERFACE very simple and intuitive: all big knobs!

REVERB PARAMETERS 4 knobs functions:

input: sets the gain, it can be pulled to activate high impedance tone: is a simple analog filter on wet signal mixed: sets the wet / dry balancing level: adjusts the amount of reverb to send / return.

MEMORY structure is based on D4164 chips.
DRP16 features 8 presets (hall reverb) + 8 more if the M option is fitted (the "stage reverbs").

TIP: To access stage memory M just hold down this buttons combo: 2, 6 and 4, the led should blink. -CLICK LEFT TO MAGNIFY -

 

MAINTENANCE reporting 2 main issues:
- the front buttons tend to get hard to push but a good cleaning just does the job.

LM348N homemade repair

Faulty quad operational amplifier LM348N has been replaced with an equivalent but with different pinouts, a homemade fit has been done.
