VOICE system manages 8 voices polyphony based on PCM samples at 12 bits resolution based on a AWM PCM generator/ DAC is a custom Yamaha IC YM7138.
QY10 patch sounds are non-editable presets and includes 30 instruments + 26 percussions. Check full instruments LIST.
QY handles 8 parts with fixed Midi channel grouped in the following order:
Midi channel 1 : Assignable instrument 1
Midi channel 2 : Assignable instrument 2
Midi channel 3 : Assignable instrument 3
Midi channel 4 : Assignable instrument 4
Midi channel 5 : Chord 1 (read below)
Midi channel 6 : Chord 2 (read below)
Midi channel 7 : Bass
Midi channel 8 : Rhythm
up to 2 Chords channels allows to enter directly one of the 20 triads presets (most commons) check LIST.
Up to 8 tracks at 1/96 resolution.
Qy sequencer offers some edit functions like Erase, Insert measure, Merge tracks, track mute or note transpose and quantizes at resolution between 1/4 and 1/32.
Sequences can be recorded in 2 entry notes modes:
- real-time: notes triggered by pads or a Midi keyboard.
- step Mode: with rest pause and variable note length.
Sequencer can be synched (slave) to external Midi clock.
