Overview and sequencer

Overview this machine is basically a groovebox with 6 track sequencer (also external devices) based on samples edited with a tiny LCD monochromatic resolution 128 x 64 pixel; It is operated with USB PSU or battery.

Memory A single elektron project can hold up to 576 samples organized into 6 banks / 16 patterns / 6 tracks for a total of a maximum of 64mb of memory (out of 1 gb available).

A single track can handle up to 64 steps in real time using pad (velocity) or classic XOX 16 steps system.
Special multi rhythm allows to set a maximum of step for EACH track for classic polyrhytmic structure from Elektron, including PARAMETER LOCK, recording different parameter for each step (Pitch, Decay, Sample Start, Sample Lenght, Cutoff, Resonance, Delay Send, Reverb Send, LFO Speed, Volume+Dist, Swing, Chance probability). Patterns can be chained of course like a song mode and synched to external Midi clock.

Samples handling

SAMPLES voice structure is based on plain 16 bits samples with a simple decay envelope, a distortion boost and multimode digital resonant filter. Final part is dedicated to effects: reverb and delay. A sample can be tuned, reverse mode or trimmed with sample start/end offset.
An LFO  (shapes: Triangle, Sine, Square, Sawtooth, Envelope, Ramp and Random) is implemented with variable depht.

FACT! The Elektron CANNOT SAMPLES but it factory contains 300 ready to go samples or you can import yours with a format of PCM 16 bits 48 kHz mono by USB2 port using free Elektron Transfer software
