Models
the 5000 series has 3 models
-K5000 S: synthesizer with real-time controls
-K5000 R rackmount: module, same as 5000s without real-time controls
-K5000 W workstation: more PCM wavetable, bigger RAM but
no more real-time controls
Voice
32 digital voices based on DAS DSP ADVANCED SYNTHESIS. A basic k5000 patch is composed by 6 digital oscillators or "elements".
Each DAS element can be either a:

Additive wave
DSP generates 128 digital sinewaves harmonic that can be summed following the Fourier principle. The sinewaves are split into 2 harmonic groups (each group counts for 1 element):
1) harmonic group1 : from 1 to 64
2) harmonic group2 : from 64 to 128
